General Summary

The Project Analyst will work directly with the Senior Manager of the Partners Healthcare Information Systems (IS) Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI) Development Systems to support successful project completion. The ideal candidate for this role will be self-motivated, highly organized, collaborative and very articulate in both verbal and written communications. Additionally, the candidate should be able to demonstrate advanced critical thinking skills, including analysis and synthesis of complex issues and problem solving. Although this position is responsible for many administrative tasks, it is the perfect opportunity for someone with administrative experience seeking to learn and eventually transition to a project management role.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Attends certain project meetings and assists with gathering and documenting project requirements
  • Drafts and maintains certain project documentation (e.g., project charter, project plan, action item log, RACI matrix)
  • Drafts and/or edits communications such as project presentations/dashboards, emails to stakeholders, document retention, etc.
  • Monitors project schedules and budgets and escalates issues and concerns, as appropriate
  • Organizes and schedules project and team meetings, coordinates team calendar, as necessary
  • Drafts and prepares meeting agendas, minutes, action items and other material
  • Coordinates the completion of periodic project status and management reporting
  • Administers the project Livelink (content management) site, including provisioning of user access and maintenance of project records
  • Coordinates the selection, approval and timely on-boarding of contractors, consultants and other vendors, as needed
  • Assists with performing moderately complex analytics on project data, as required
  • Assists in the implementation and adoption of project management standards and methodologies, as appropriate
  • Other duties as assigned


  • BA/BS degree required
  • 2+ years of experience in project support, preferably within information services
  • Proficient with productivity tools, such as MS Word, Excel, Visio, WebEx, Skype for Business, Quick Base, Smartsheet; and collaboration software, e.g., Livelink, SharePoint a plus

Working Conditions

Standard office environment. May require local travel to customers located in different offices both on and off DFCI campus.
