Bose Corporation’s Professional Systems Division is seeking a Software Program Manager to support Electronics products (Amplifiers, Controllers) including embedded Firmware and Software GUI development.

We are looking for an experienced Program Manager who will take on the management of key projects with the goal of developing quality software products that deliver demonstrable benefits to customers, on time and within budget.


As a program manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following activities:

  • Fostering collaboration and teamwork between internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Developing a detailed project plan to deliver project objectives.
  • Proactively leading a team of developers using Agile methodologies to meet or exceed project objectives, with a forward-looking emphasis on mitigating risks and removing roadblocks.
  • Managing changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Performing continual risk management to proactively anticipate and develop plans to mitigate project risks.
  • Communicating project information to team members and project shareholders in a timely and accurate manner. This includes weekly project team meetings, gate meetings, and visual management updates.


Must have a track record of successfully managing cross-functional software teams in the development of applications for electronics products, as well as experience in a technical role in developing embedded products.

In addition, experience in the following areas is required:

  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or experience in developing and delivering integrated hardware and software products.
  • Strong familiarity with driving software delivery using Scrum.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of JIRA, Microsoft Project and Office.
  • Results orientated, self-motivated team player, who is resilient and able to perform calmly under pressure.
  • Communicates openly and operates with integrity and respect for others.
  • Experience with Professional Audio products is a plus.


Education / Certifications / Work Experience

-BS in an engineering discipline required; MBA or Masters in Engineering preferred.

-PMP or other Project Management certification is a plus, but not required.

-Certified Scrum Master certification or other Agile certification is a plus, but not required.

-Requires a minimum of 7 years of experience in the software development life cycle, preferably within embedded electronics. In addition, at least 5 years of experience in program/project management of related products with a proven track record of successfully managing projects from concept phase through start of production.
