Andrew Amrhein wasmost recently the Managing Director of the Program Management Office,Business Relationship Management, and Quality Assurance in the IT Group ofHarvard Business School. Prior to HBS Andrew worked at Thermo FisherScientific directly for the CIO, where he led a Global PMO across 12divisions and personally ran programs up to 45 million dollars and over 150people. At Thermo Andrew was also the overall IT leader for across Europeof a $650M division with 25 sites and ~3,500 users. At the pharmaceuticalcompany Pfizer Andrew was the Director of Global Program Delivery where healso ran transformation programs in the tens of millions of dollars and wasselected for a Global R&D award for a business process reengineeringinitiative.
Andrew has been a speaker multiple times for PMI Mass Bayand PM / BA World, taught Project Management as part of the Leading WithExcellence initiative at Harvard, and has authored a PM ISSIG article onproject management politics. Andrew has an MBA from New York University(Stern) and loves travel, martial arts, and spending time with hisfamily.
