What is expected of a Chapter Volunteer?
You are expected to perform your duties with responsibility and timeliness. You will be expected to apply your PM skills, in the areas of organizational effectiveness, communications and stakeholder management. Many of these roles will require that you document the volunteer activities or provide reports. Also please keep your contact information up-to-date with PMI and those you are working with, such as the VP of your group.
But also our chapter is hoping you can gain both professional growth and new experiences to help you as a PM.
If at any time you feel you cannot fulfill your obligations, please discuss with your VP or AVP to review options. If you decide you have to leave your position, please coordinate the best possible solution for a smooth transition for the next volunteer in that role. Especially critical for more involved positions and the chapter officers, please provide documentation that will assist the next chapter leader in your role.
