The Boston Food Bank, also known as The Greater Boston Food Bank (GBFB), is a nonprofit organization that serves as a hub for food distribution to a network of hunger-relief agencies in the Greater Boston area. Its mission is to end hunger in eastern Massachusetts by providing a reliable source of nutritious food to those in need. It acquires food through donations from individuals, corporations, grocery stores, and government programs. They collect and distribute a wide variety of food items, including fresh produce, meat, dairy products, and non-perishable goods. These food items are sorted, inspected, and then distributed to partner agencies such as food pantries, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, and after-school programs.

Our PMI team participated in packing the items in the boxes and we accomplished just that. In two hours together we lifted 10800 pounds of products, packed 9000 meals. These nutritious meals have the potential to sustain a family of four for over a year. It was truly gratifying to know that our efforts would have a long-lasting impact on those in need.  Way to go PMIMassBay team!!
