I have developed a wide base of valuable hard and soft skills by serving on the Board of Directors (BOD) of PMI Mass Bay. I want to continue to give back to PMI Mass Bay by serving on the Board of Directors. As your VP Professional Development, I established a 1-year planning horizon of speakers and events. with 3 new speakers each year and in person events throughout metro Boston area. We tried new ideas such as Global Café. While in COVID our Professional Development team helped bring new ideas and chances to network while we all worked remote. We found ways to get safely get together with hikes and Red Sox Games. I bring fresh ideas to PMI Mass Bay from the PMI Leadership Institute meetings and Regional conferences. I am constantly seeking new events that fit with today’s complex schedules and new topics that keep up with the changing world of Project and Portfolio Management. In the next term, I want to grow our volunteer base giving more members a chance to give back while building their network. We are working to bring back Career Development workshop and our all day Professional Development conference. My goal is to provide an enhanced experience as you interact with our chapter. I enjoy meeting you at the many in person connections offered by Operations team. I am asking your your vote for Board of Directors so I can keep the momentum going.

I became the AVP of Memberships and Volunteers in the Summer of 2023. As a team of two, I have contributed to virtual office hours, been at attendance at board meetings, PMI events, regional conferences to learn best practices from other chapter and attract members looking to volunteer. This year I spearheaded an onboarding program for volunteers with a full checklist, volunteer agreement, ways of working and exit survey. We are currently in the process of finalizing and rolling it out. Earlier this year I also developed a slide deck which is emailed to new members when they are welcomes to the chapter. I also organized this year’s volunteer recognition event which had a turnout of about 30 volunteers at King’s venue in Back Bay. Lastly, as an extension of the board, I have been attending 1/2 – 2 day in-person board meetings to help formulate program planning, get aligned, and brainstorm more efficient ways of working. I am also putting the final touches on a survey to be sent to members in early fall to collect additional data points and help us formulate programming for 2025.
I possess an MBA, am a certified project manager, and have over 25 years of experience in people and program operations and management at large global organizations and biotech startups. Resourcing and supporting employees, teams, and organizations so they can reach their highest potential every day has been paramount in my professional life and have extended this model to my volunteering roles for professional associations and community groups over the last 20 years. Past volunteer accomplishments have included sourcing, hiring, onboarding and retention of hundreds of volunteers, and membership engagement through the development of program content for dozens of web/seminars and conferences, coordination and execution of countless in-person and virtual events, and development of a mentoring program. I am looking forward to enhancing volunteer and membership engagement in this role.
