Welcome to the PMI
Mass Bay 2008-2009 Season! The leadership team and volunteers have been working hard
throughout the summer to put together a program lineup and member benefits
designed to help you advance in your career, network with your peers and receive
the most value possible from your chapter membership. Check out a few
highlights below.
New Website - First, please check out our new
website, due to be released early this month.
In addition to a new look and feel, the new site allows us to introduce
more features exclusive to our members, which we will be doing throughout the
year. If you are a chapter member, be
sure to register on the site to gain access to these features and benefits. If you are not yet a member of PMI Mass
Bay, please join us at
www.pmi.org.
Earlier Event Listings - We know you need to plan
ahead. So this year we are booking our
programs earlier than ever. We have
speakers, mini-courses and professional development events lined up through
December and are already working on the remainder of the year. Check the Events sections of our new
website for updates.
Enhanced Networking – Our monthly meetings will
continue with the same professional caliber speakers and venues as in the past. For those who come to network, we will
offer more opportunities via affinity groups, facilitated networking and
meetings where we collaborate with other organizations. We have also expanded our secure PMI Mass
Bay LinkedIn group for those interested in networking online with other
members.
And More on the Way – Over the next few months you
will see many other changes and improvements.
We are looking into new online options for our study groups, expanding
our community of roundtable groups, seeking discounts and other vendor benefits
for our members, and reaching out to the business and educational communities
of Greater Boston. You may even see a
change in this newsletter.
