At a ceremony held 17 July during PMI Research Conference 2006 in Montreal, Canada, Global Accreditation Center (GAC) for Project Management Chair John H. Cable, R.A., PMP, announced that Boston University Metropolitan College in Massachusetts, USA, and University of Management and Technology in Arlington, Virginia, USA, have received GAC Accreditation for graduate programs in project management. The GAC assures the quality of project management degree programs at the graduate and undergraduate level.
At Boston University, GAC accredited the Master of Science in Project Management; Master of Science in Administrative Studies and Master of Science in Computer Information Systems. At the University of Management and Technology, GAC accredited the Doctor of Philosophy in Management; Master of Business Administration; Master of Science in Computer Science; Master of Science in Information Technology and Master of Science in Management.
Accepting plaques in honor of the occasion were Associate Professors Vijay Kanabar, PhD, and Roger Warburton, PhD, from Boston University, and Academic Dean J. Davidson Frame, PhD, PMI Fellow, PMP, from University of Management and Technology.
