Spreading the Word on Project Management and PMI Certifications
by Ed Horniak
Spreading the word on project management and PMI certifications. As a part of the 2006 outreach campaign, PMI has launched new advocacy advertising campaigns for the project management profession and for the Project Management Professional (PMP®) and Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM®) credentials.
The advocacy campaign is part of PMI’s strategic sponsorship of the Forbes Global CEO Conference 2006, to be held 4–6 September in Singapore. New ads will feature the testimonials of Asian executives who encourage project management practices in their organizations and PMI certifications for their staff. The campaign will run in a number of Asian publications including Forbes Asia, Forbes Korea, and Forbes China throughout 2006. (For more about PMI’s principal sponsorship of the important Forbes Global CEO Conference 2006, see today’s edition of PMI Community Post.)
The PMP ad campaign capitalizes on the high brand recognition of this certification. It compares the three letters of the credential’s abbreviation to ROI, VIP and URL, abbreviations that are dynamic, powerful and universally recognized. These ads will appear in Certification, PE (Professional Engineer), Civil Engineer and Redmond magazines, as well as in PM Network®.
